WWI Christmas Truce

December 7, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

- Free

On Christmas Eve during WWI, the Germans and British stopped fighting for several hours and celebrated Christmas. During WWII, Allied and German soldiers took refuge in a mountain cottage during a snowstorm, without fighting.

On 7 December at 6:45pm, Les Bakke will do a presentation on these two events, showing video clips, sharing letters, and interviews of the events. It will be done via Zoom and shown in the ballroom. You may also connect from home using Zoom by going to zoom.us and using Meeting ID: 844 2139 5611 and Passcode: 506981
