Kringen Camperships & Scholarships

Kringen Lodge offers camperships and scholarships to the two Norwegian language summer camps in our region – Trollfjorden or Skogfjorden.

Camp Trollfjorden offers Norwegian language and cultural opportunities in a family retreat setting for campers ages 8 to 108. It is held at Metigoshe Ministries Christian Center near Bottineau, ND.

Camp Skogfjorden is an immersive Norwegian language and culture camp for youth ages 7 to 18. It is held at the Concordia Language Villages in Bemidji, MN.

Kringen Lodge has 2 separate scholarship funds:

  1. Lodge Scholarship: $1,800.00 awarded yearly.
    • Trollfjorden-$100.00 per person
    • Skogfjorden-$200.00 per person.

  2. Youth Scholarship Fund: This was set up in the name of Leola Olson on May 5, 2011. This is for youth in need of help to attend camp.

The recipient must be a child or grandchild of a current Sons of Norway member.
